Why Support Usha Mahavir Foundation ?

Usha Mahavir Foundation is trying its best to seek out the simplest solution for differently abled people. This foundation provides its support in two countries: the US and India.

Nearly 50 million people live with disabilities in the US. They also demonstrate changing ideas about disability. As per the 2011 census, around 2.21% of India’s population is differently abled, which suggests that there are over 2 crore people in our country who live with some sort of physical or mental challenge that makes it difficult for them to function; what we wish to call, “normal” society. This suggests that the number of individuals with physical challenges in India is nearly twice the whole population of Sweden!

With such an outsized population with special needs, it’s essential to know why they’re still a minority group desperately in need of uplifting. The cultural and physical barriers obtained in society limit differently abled people from growing above their station and living up to their full potential.
