Usha Mahavir Foundation
The resilience of Mrs. Usha Mittal and Mr. M.P. Mittal inspired the Usha Mahavir Foundation. Mrs. Mittal, a retired principal and sub-divisional officer, and Mr. Mittal, an executive engineer and founder of eComStreet Info Services, supported their son, Chirag, who faced the challenges of Retinitis Pigmentosa, a condition that gradually caused him to lose his eyesight. Despite losing 95% of his vision, Chirag excelled in his studies with the help of electronic devices and is now an Assistant Professor at a government college. This experience highlighted the need for more awareness about opportunities for those facing similar challenges.
In 2021, the Usha Mahavir Foundation was established to honor their legacy and provide support to individuals overcoming life challenges. The foundation helps them achieve their full potential through education, awareness, and resources. The foundation continues to empower others, fostering a brighter future for those in need.
